Organic Perfume rocks !

Janey Loves Rich Hippie Organic Perfume from Beauty Bazaar

As someone who promotes natural skincare and beauty products I'm often asked if I can recommend a great 100 per cent natural perfume, up until recently I've advised people to make their own blends using essential oils but at last I've found an excellent funky new brand.    Beautybazaar.co.uk bring us the fabulous 100 per cent natural and certified organic range of perfumes, eau de toilettes and roll-ons that smell great and are good for our health and the environment also.

By the way chemical scents are responsible many people say for triggering asthma attacks, headaches and insomnia, and some are endocrine disrupters, (they'll play havoc with your hormones)  some of the chemicals have also managed to end up in fish so the food chain will be affected also.

Back to the good news then, Beauty Bazaar sell little samples so you can test out the fragrance you like, bear in mind the staying power of the perfume won't be as long as your usual chemical brand, probably only staying on your skin for 2-4 hours but this gives you an opportunity to save the sensual pleasure of re-applying !

25 organic perfumes to choose from with funky names like Rock Star, Foxy Lady, Hoochie Coochie and you can choose from Eau de Parfum Roll-On, Perfume Roll-On or the Perfume Bottle.

Natorigin, gorgeous organic make-up

Janey Loves the wonderful organic make-up range from Natorigin

You may have seen in the press recently that the lovely Gail Porter is the brand ambassador for a brilliant range from Natorigin.  I love it too, great colours, 100% natural, Certified organic
Approved by the vegetarian society, its also suitable for sensitive skin.
Lipsticks
I especially love the lipsticks, they're hypoallergenic lipsticks formulated with orchid extract to give an extremely soft and smooth texture. They are very rich in waxes (organic carnauba wax, organic candelilla wax, organic beeswax), organic shea butter and oils (organic sweet almond oil, organic jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil, organic marula seed oil, organic castor seed oil) to both moisturise and protect the lips, keeping them soft and supple. Lanolin free.

The packaging is nice too with proper powder and blusher compacts complete with a little mirror and my lipstick lasts for ages unlike many natural brands.
They have a good range of other skincare and beauty products too.

The face powders are great also.
NATorigin face powders are naturally silky, velvety and extremely soft. Formulated with ultra-micronised shells of organic argan nuts from the Tree of Life.   Argan oil is fast becoming big news in the beauty industry for its incredible moisturising and repairing properties - the oil from the Argan nut has been used by the Berber women of Morocco for centuries, to keep their hair and skin full of moisture in dry desert conditions.
The powders are softening and anti-free radical and give a light finish with long-lasting cover.
Allergy UK approved Natorigin are the only products of their type to hold this mark, its important because many products may be natural or even organic but not necessarily allergy free.

Beat the bulge - naturally with Dr Marilyn Glenville

Janey Loves Dr Marilyn Glenville 'lose the bulge' programme

I'm delighted to be able to big-up and really recommend a fellow author and expert.

Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD is the UK’s leading nutritionist specialising in women’s  health.

As we get older many of us have a tendency to gather fat around the middle, especially if we a re 'apple shaped' it difficult it is to lose it.  Your arms and legs may be acceptable looking, but the middle bit, from your bust to your groin - seems to defy all attempts to diet and exercise. Perhaps your clothes feel uncomfortable, your waistband is too tight, you’ve got a gaping blouse and a “muffin top” layer of fat pouring over the waistband of your jeans or worst of all – you’ve been asked when your next baby is due.!

What you may not know is how dangerous the fat around your middle really is (more so than fat on your thighs or bottom), increasing your risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and cancer (especially breast cancer).  Because of where the fat sits on your body, normal diets, even rigorous exercise regimes rarely work.

Ballooning waistlines

Research from the Department of Health in 2005, has shown that Britons now have the fattest stomachs in history.  Between 1993 and 2004, women’s waistlines ballooned
Figures published in 2004 showed that between 1951 and 2005, women’s waists have increased by 6.5in (16.5cm).

We have also become generally taller and larger but there is an enormous difference between the 1.5in gain in height, bust and hips and the 6.5in gained on the waist.   There is no doubt that we have lost the traditional hourglass figure (synonymous with a pear shape) and women have become more apple shaped with all its health risks.

So by following the recommendations from the excellent book 'fat around the middle' you'll not only get rid of fat around your middle, but you will also be doing the best you possibly can to prevent health problems in the future. Short term, you get to look better.  Long term? You live longer. It’s as simple as that.

Dr marylin Glenville explains the cause of the problem and how to address it, she unravels the issues of food cravings, how to calculate your body mass index.  She advises on eating healthily, making sure you don’t skip breakfast and including essential fatty acids, taking the right kind of exercise, how to address stress and importantly the correct supplements to take, she has her own range and shes devised formulations that have the correct ratios of certain vitamins and minerals so that you don’t have to take 3 tablets from 10 different bottles every day !
Shes formulated two supplements for The Natural Health Practice that contains all of the above.  They are called NutriPlus and AminoPlus and are available from www.naturalhealthpractice.com or 0845 8800915),

By the way its not about dieting, she recommends eating little and often and ensuring a bit of protein with every meal, this is a very realistic way of eating

She offers consultations too. For more in depth information look on Marilyn’s website www.marilynglenville.com
