Janey Loves Natural anti ageing skincare from Inlight

At last a brilliant organic brand formulated by the wonderful Dr Mariano Spiezia, Mariano and his wife Loredana have created something very special with this range.

This is a naturopathic doctor who really knows about skin, Inlight have a great range of products that have no contraindications with homeopathic remedies and I’m a big fan of their deep cleansing salve and their facial oil is wonderful but lets focus just for a second on anti-aging, something very relevant to all of us !.

The appearance of wrinkles is linked on one hand to the how we move our face, its literally connected to emotions and psychological factors, but on the other hand its linked to the natural ageing process influenced by many life style factors (food, sun exposure, smog, pollution, lack of sleep etc.) .  We can’t stop the ageing process of course but it  can be “controlled” or “slowed down” by having a correct life style and correct diet, rich in vitamins, antioxidants and vital nutritional factors. To keep away wrinkles you also need a cosmetic routine based on moisturising oils rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, chlorophyll and enzymes.

I'm a very big fan of facial ols, particularly olive oil, jojoba oil, rose hip oil, all rich in Vitamin E and EFA, protect, soften and moisturise the skin reducing the evaporation of the “internal water “, and have an antioxidant and protective action against UV rays. Many are the herbs available in Nature that encourage production of collagen together with astringent and anti-ageing properties.   However wrinkles don’t miraculously disappear if covered up (sadly) , they need to be “treated” and not even moisturising is enough to keep them at bay.  The skin needs to be well nourished and well fed in order to keep young and healthy. This is why a beauty daily regime full of antioxidants is essential.
Inlight suggest you get started with:their

Tiana raw organic cold pressed virgin Coconut Oil

If you've read any of my books you'll know I'm a huge fan of Coconut oil. I'm thrilled to have found Tiana - a wonderful company who make not just organic virgin coconut oil but also gorgeous coconut flour (makes yummy breads and cakes) and a beautiful rose and coconut cream. Whats unique about Tiana coconut oil is that its cold pressed from fresh organic coconuts and comes in recyclable glass jars which is excellent for prolonging its life, keeping it free from plasticisers and contaminants.

They do say don't put anything on your skin that you can't eat and you can and should eat this, it doesn't degrade at high temperatures so its great for cooking, you can also use  it in place of butter, use for baking or add to smoothies and being very high in lauric acid (the main component of breast milk) its a wonderful functional food, being great for althletes and excellent for weight loss. (some stats on its nutritional values below)

Its also though a wonderful moisturiser for all skin types and a brilliant hair conditioner. Lather it on leave overnight and wash off a couple of times in the morning. Its a great intensive hand cream and great for feet too.

By the way if you're thinking (guys maybe) I do NOT want to smell like a beach babe, you're remembering the synthetic whiff of coconuts from conventional sun lotions, virgin coconut oil smells only very faintly of ...well... coconuts,  but by the time its absorbed into your skin it really has no fragrance.

I can't recommend it highly enough and Tanya who runs Tiana Coconut oil is such a passionate advocate !
